Push to Pray

“Prayer should be the key of the day and the lock of the night.” – George Herbert

God loves to hear from us always. (John 16:24)

One of my favourite quotes is “When we pray we speak to God; But when we read God speaks to us.”

God, the Eternal Father loves to spend time with us. That is why He created us in his own image – to have fellowship with him. Right from the first man He created, we see God searching and calling for people to communicate with him and fulfill his purpose in and through their lives.

A lot of time, prayer becomes just a ritual and turn to be a boring thing in life. At times, we don’t even feel to pray, didn’t want to get out of our bed, don’t have the reviving spirit to get connected with God in prayer.

Why so?

We have a very good role model in the Bible who pushed himself to attach with God in prayer.

He is Jesus Himself.

After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone. (Matthew 14:23)

Jesus traveled by boat to a solitary place yet found it occupied since people came where he landed for him to minister to them and so he did his healing ministry and fed the five thousand miraculously and sent his disciples ahead of him in the boat while he bid bye to those thousands around him warmly.

It was really a tired evening for Jesus. He was broken in heart because of the cruel death happened to his closed cousin, John the Baptist and physically tired after his ministry since he was a human like us.

Yet, He propelled himself to pray. He climbed up to the hill and had a good fellowship with God. Even in the darkest night, he chose to be with God in prayer all alone.

If He can do that, certainly we can too!

No matter how dark and lonely it is, we can still connect with God in prayer.

The result of those prayers will be amazing, unbelievable and supernatural.

After this, Jesus walked on the water when his disciples encountered a life threat in the middle of the sea.

If we choose to pray to God despite our loneliness at the darkest hours, God will surely do the supernatural in our lives as well as in the life of our beloved.

To the one who is reading this:
You could be a person who is in an impossible situation or in a darkest time of your life or lonely.

You could be a mom or a dad crying for your children or a person with hopelessness after failures.

No matter what, push yourself to pray now.

God loves you and cares for you.

He can transform things in a minute.

He is a Supernatural God and He will give you amazing answers.

Trust Him and give Him all the glory.

God bless you!
