Refined until fulfillment

Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him. Psalm 105:19

Joseph was assuredly confident about the deep-seated vision about his future that God has put in his heart and waited with confidence for it’s fulfillment. But before seeing his dream being accomplished, Joseph was made a minion and scorn of his own brothers, a commodity of the Midianites, a slave of the Egyptians, an helpless victim, falsely accused at Potiphar’s house, a convicted prisoner and last but not the least, totally blotted out of the mind of the Pharaoh’s cup-bearer to whom he had done a great favor. There was a vast intermission before the word of God came to pass in his life, and the intermission was filled with disgrace, maltreatment, humiliation and a very bad reputation on the whole.

But God was behind the scene, working for Joseph when he was going through all these mistreatments to lift and enthrone him. Every single step that he went through seemed to go on the downside but just the opposite happened. When God is refining us to enthrone us, let’s happily give us into His hands and wait for His best.
