Not only fearing about what men would do against us but also fearing about what they would think of us is a snare (Proverbs 29:25). Apostle Paul clearly says that if we seek the approval of men and try to please them, we are not the servants of God (Galatians 1:10).

The Scripture actually says that we are blessed when people speak false accusations against us (Matthew 5:10-12). We see that many officials who believed in Jesus did not openly acknowledge their faith for fear of the Pharisees, and the Scripture records such action that they preferred the approval of men than that of God (John 12:42-43). So let’s try to please God in all our ways not in fear of men but with power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
